Jahed Choudhury, 24, has become the first Muslim man to wed in a same sex marriage in Britain.
Choudhury and Sean Rogan, 19 wed at the Walsall Register Office. The grooms, who wore traditional Bangladeshi outfits for the ceremony, have told news portals that they have faced death threats since news of their wedding broke.
BBC quoted Choudhury as saying that people had threatened to throw acid in his face.
