Uttar Pradesh Congress chief Raj Babbar, on Friday, 4 January, responded to BJP MLA Vikram Saini’s remarks on bombing “traitors,” urging an arrest. Babbar said the Chief Minister says 'thok do', and now an MLA who aspires to be minister says he will bomb people.
“He should be arrested and punished. He is speaking like a terrorist, and he must be probed for terror links.”Raj Babbar, Congress leader
BJP MLA from Muzaffarnagar Vikram Saini stirred controversy on Friday, 4 January, by saying that he will “bomb the traitors and added that those who feel unsafe in India should leave the country,” news agency ANI reported.
He also urged to create a law against people who were unpatriotic and for punishment for those who speak against the nation.
Asked if he stands by his statement, Saini said that this was his “language” and that he speaks “like this only.” He also said that if he is given a ministry, he will bomb each and every “traitor.”
“Why are you here if you don’t have a patriotic sentiment? Those feeling unsafe can migrate to whatever place is safe for them, no one is stopping them. They don’t need to live here if they’re not patriotic.”Vikram Saini, BJP MLA, Muzaffarnagar
He also said that the forces of the country have a lot of bombs, "I'll bomb all such people, I just want the chance, this is my personal view, don't attach the party to it."
