Can elephants paint? Well, this one sure does. Yumeka, a 10-year-old Asian elephant from the Elephant Kingdom in Japan’s Chiba Prefecture, attracts huge crowds when she paints one of her masterpieces.

With her trainer handing her the brush, Yumeka can paint beautiful scenes like a cherry blossom tree or a group of sunflowers.

She has been learning how to paint ever since she was a year old. Yumeka shares a strong bond with her trainer, who has been with her since she was young. The owner of the Elephant Kingdom believes the bond is partly responsible for Yumeka’s development as an artist.
