“My Father Has Disowned Me”: FB Live With Blogger Zahra Haider

Zahra Haider, the 20-something Pakistani blogger who wrote a viral article on her experiences with sex in Pakistan, joined The Quint for a Facebook Live from Toronto, Canada where she now lives.

She spoke about how her father and his family have disowned her after the article, even as her mother and many others continue to support her. She also spoke about the abuse she received on social media and about how feminism is thought of as the dreaded ‘F-word.’
