Amazon Prime Video’s latest Four More Shots Please will be out soon and The Quint caught up with Milind Soman and Lisa Ray. Prime Original, Four More Shots Please, is expected to give the audience an insight into the lives of four urban women who just “happen” to get along despite coming from very different backgrounds.

Kirti Kulhari, Bani, Maanvi Gagroo and Sayani Gupta are in the leading roles. Their characters meet at a bar and go into discussing their life problems. The viewers will get to delve into the lives of the main characters over a period of 10 episodes.

Milind Soman plays the role of a gynaecologist and Lisa Ray plays a closeted lesbian in the series.

377 has been repealed, so this is a fantastic time to bring things out of the closet, literally. But when I choose something, it’s because it interests me. I have seen the change in India. In the ’90s, it was men who were actually deciding roles for women and what archetypes women should play. And now I am trying to be a part of the change so that women are telling their own stories. Until we start talking about it and normalising it and putting it out there in terms of characters and media, it’s not going to change. So this is maybe, a little push towards the change.

Lisa also says that the show is all about these four women sharing a bond as real women usually do. “Don’t you have a no-holds-barred conversation with your friends?” she asks. And that’s exactly what Four More Shots Please is all about.

I think with this, the crew was really wanting to do something fresh and something nice and always making sure that it’s not been done like this before.

Amazon’s latest original Four More Shots Please will be out on 25 January.
