While the couples of Bollywood like Akshay Kumar and Twinkle Khanna, Amitabh and Jaya Bachchan were celebrating Valentine’s Day with cakes, flowers and social media PDA, the singles didn’t leave anything to chance. They partied hard instead. Karan Johar threw a party inviting all the singles of tinsel town to his place.
Karan set the tone of the party with posters with slogans like “Cupid Is a Lying Bastard”, “Love Disappoints, Pizza Is Eternal” and “V for Valentine’s Vodka”, “Roses are red and shit”, “No space for ex-lovers”, “Love is in the air do not breathe”, put up all over.
On social media however, KJo had a sweet Valentine’s message for his fans: “Love is the most beautiful feeling in the world! It works best when it’s unconditional…when it’s ego free….when it’s not too dependant on expectation….and most importantly when it’s foundation is TRUST! #HappyValentinesDay ”.
Present at the bash were celebs like Neha Dhupia, Ekta Kapoor, Tusshar Kapoor, Dino Morea, Manish Malhotra, Bhumi Pednekar, Konkona Sensharma, Farhan Akhtar, Sonakshi Sinha, Aditya Roy Kapur, Sussanne Khan, Aditi Rao Hydari, Neha Dhupia and other celebrities. The celebs were all smiles and of course were ready to groove all night long. Karan surely is the best host in Bollywood, and the singles were happy to mingle in style.
Black and red were the theme colours of the party. Sonakshi Sinha, and Aditya Roy Kapur arrived together - we don’t know if they are dating - while Farhan Akhtar, Sussanne Khan, Dino Morea, Ekta Kapoor arrived alone.
Malaika Arora, Arjun Kapoor, Harshvardhan Kapoor, Shraddha Kapoor, Katrina Kaif, were notably absent this year. Which throws up the question - are they not single any more? Also absent were Karan Johar camp regulars like Alia Bhatt and Sidharth Malhotra, who are reportedly not a couple any more.
