Jitu Rai clinched his second medal at the ISSF World Cup after winning gold in the 50m pistol event at New Delhi on Wednesday.
Rai won the gold with a total of 230.1, while Amanpreet finished second with a score of 49.7. Iran’s Vahid Golkhandan took the bronze with a score of 208.0.
The Quint caught up with Jitu Rai after he won the bronze medal in the 10m Air Pistol event on Tuesday. He expressed that he likes to fight for a medal.
At one point in the final of the 10m Air Pistol event, the Commonwealth Games gold medallist was fighting with China’s Qifeng Pu, who finished eight in the final, to stay in the competition.
The experienced shooter also spoke about a niggle in his right palm and about the debacle he had at the Rio Olympics.
