India’s first medalist at the Rio Olympics, wrestler Sakshi Malik said that she is glad that she could make her country proud.
After losing in the quarterfinals, Malik was confident that the player she lost to, Russia’s Valeria Koblova, would make it to the finals, which allowed Malik to come back in the competition through the repechage round and eventually win the medal.
Malik dedicated her bronze medal to her family and all her coaches.
