A monsoon depression has brought heavy rains in Madhya Pradesh, disrupting normal life. A whopping 460 mm of rainfall was recorded in 7 days in Satna district alone recorded 28 cm of rainfall according to Business Line.
The army has begun rescue operations. Two people who were stranded in river Tamas in Rewa area due to sudden rise in water levels. Civilians said that at least 4000 cattle died due to increasing water levels.
