Fasal Bima Yojana was BJP's flagship crop insurance scheme, and when Ram Chander, a farmer in Bhiwani in Haryana enrolled under the scheme, he thought it would help him. The instalments were deducted, but when his crops were destroyed in February 2018, and he asked for compensation, he got none. And he is not alone.
