As many as 13 people, including three foreigners, were rescued and five dead bodies were recovered from Holey Artisan Bakery restaurant in Dhaka after Bangladeshi police stormed the eatery on Saturday.
Six terrorists were killed, one was captured, and two others escaped the area during the operation, although an official confirmation is still awaited.
Gun fighting at the besieged restaurant ended after a 14-hour standoff, and combing operations are now underway. Rescued hostages were taken to the nearby hospital for immediate treatment.
