In conversation with Editorial Director of The Quint Sanjay Pugalia, BJP spokesperson GVL Narsimha Rao denied the allegation of the Government’s ignorance of Dalit atrocities.
The recent incident in Una where Dalits were beaten up by Gau Rakshaks in Gujarat led to an uproar in Parliament against the government’s attitude.
Then BJP’s then-UP VP Dayashankar Singh’s comment on Mayawati took the uproar to another level.
Dalit leaders in opposition have regularly claimed that BJP government is unjust to Dalits and Muslims.
GVL Narsimha Rao, however, denied all the allegations and said:
