An Indian enthusiast has broken into the record books by building the world’s longest motorbike. Bharat Sinh Parmar, 30, from Gujarat, modified a traditional two wheeler - stretching it to a length of 26.29 metres, making it the longest motorcycle. To attain his record Bharat had to successfully ride the bike for a minimum distance of 100 metres – a tricky challenge for such a long, two-wheeled vehicle.

A huge crowd gathered to watch Parmar make the attempt on his super-stretched cycle. Parmar said: “I love to take challenges in life and what is better than registering myself in Guinness World Records.” But for Parmar, this is not the only achievement that he is proud of. He has five other Guinness records to his name and 12 Limca Book of records, the Indian version of the records book.

Apart from the longest motorcycle, Parmar holds the record for longest flute, largest cricket world cup trophy, largest Indian bread (Roti), heaviest sweet and longest incense stick. “All the previous records came quite easily, so I wanted to do something that takes a lot of effort. This brought me to the idea of largest motorcycle. Initially it seemed impossible, but I made it to the record book yet again,” he said.
