The BCCI has congratulated the Indian cricket team for winning the Twenty20 World Cup for the Blind in Bengaluru.

"The Board of Control for Cricket in India (BCCI) would like to congratulate the Indian Cricket Team for successfully defending the Blind T20 World Cup title," the Board said in a statement.

The Indian team for the visually disabled is run by a body called CABI(Cricket Association for the Blind in India) and has no support from the BCCI. In fact, India’s blind cricketers - the current T20 and ODI World Champions - are not centrally contracted. They do not receive a regular salary from any association.
