Speaking to The Quint, wrestler Babita Phogat, aka the Dangal girl, congratulates Manushi Chhillar, who’s been crowned Miss World 2017, for getting the coveted crown back to India after 17 years.
Phogat said she was immensely proud of Chhillar, who not had not just made India proud but also empowered women. Phogat, who won the gold medal at the 2014 Commonwealth Games, wants the world to know that women are skillful and competent in every field today.
Through this message, Phogat wants to encourage people to empower their daughters, sisters, and daughters-in-law to follow their dreams. Watch the video!
