Aanand L Rai’s Zero is one of the most anticipated films of the year and sees Shah Rukh Khan, Katrina Kaif and Anushka Sharma share screen time together for a second time after 2012’s Jab Tak Hai Jaan.

The Quint caught up with the leading ladies of the film. Anushka tells us of the challenges she faced while playing the role of a differently abled person with cerebral palsy and Katrina talks about the complexities of her character who is an actor struggling with alcoholism. She says, “ It actually did not or would not matter whether she was an actress, whether she was a politician or a lawyer or had any kind of high profile job. What was more interesting and complex was what Aanand sir wanted out of the character and what she is going through as a person. Which I think and I am hoping—and I know Aanand sir is too—is something that a lot of people can relate to.”

We also play a fun rapid fire round and discover some interesting things about these two actors.

Zero is a story that celebrates life and romance. The first look of the film featured Shah Rukh Khan as the adorable vertically challenged Bauua who finds himself caught in a love triangle between a scientist with cerebral palsy (Anushka Sharma) and a Bollywood superstar (Katrina Kaif).

The film has been produced by Red Chillies Entertainment and Colour Yellow Productions and will see cameos by several Bollywood stars including Salman Khan and the late Sridevi. Zero releases on 21 December 2018.
