Mard Ko Dard Nahi Hota is a film directed by Vasan Bala. The film, stars Abhimanyu Dassani and Radhika Madan and had premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival in the Midnight Madness section which was a first for an Indian film.

The film revolves around a young man suffering from congenital insensitivity to pain - a rare genetic disorder which makes one immune to pain - who goes on to fight 100 foes. The trailer makes an for an exciting story, a twist to a super-hero narrative, so to speak.

When Abhimanyu was asked about his relationship with director Vasan Bala, this is what he had to say.

I had spent around 4-6 weeks with Vasan sir while auditioning for the film. The time that I spent with him resulted in a special bond between the two of us and that’s when I realised that I had to work with him. Even if it was a small role, I wanted to work with him. And because of that everything else became secondary, even the script. I just wanted to work with him.

When asked about the training process for the film, this is what Radhika had to say.

We both had trained rigorously for 8-9 months. 4 hours a day.
