The year 2018 has been great for Indian online content. With Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, Hotstar et al gaining popularity, the online space saw some big and small budget releases of shows which had solid stories to tell. Sacred Games, Mirzapur, Ghoul, Permanent Roommates, Breathe...the list is endless.

The online space also saw some mainstream Bollywood stars enter the arena. Saif Ali Khan and Nawazuddin Siddiqui took the ‘star quotient’ of Sacred Games to the next level. Radhika Apte made Ghoul a super hit on Netflix. R Madhavan acted in Breathe’s first season and Abhishek Bachchan is all set to work in the second season.

The Quint got a few leading ladies popular in the web space to talk about it all. We discussed if gender pay gap was a reality in the web space too and if star tantrums are a thing when you’re on the set of web show.

The Quint also spoke to the actors about how they deal with stardom as opposed to sometimes not being recognised by people. “There are times when people come to me and click a selfie with and then ask me who I am,” says Rasika Dugal who recently did Mirzapur with Pankaj Tripathi.

Eisha Chopra also recounts a similar incident of when she was on a plane and someone tried to sneak a selfie with her. The actor says she made it “less awkward” by approaching the person and asking him if she could help him with a selfie.

We sure caught Aahana Kumra, Eisha Chopra, Rasika Dugal and Shriya Pilgaonkar in a candid mood. Is pay gap still a reality in the web space? Have these actors faced trolling or are they mindful about what they post online? What about not being recognised in public as an actor?
