The Indian blind cricket team have won an ODI World Cup (2014), a T20 World Cup (2012) and an Asia Cup (2016), so far. However, despite their stellar track record, the team is languishing without funds and support.

Unlike its counterparts in England and Australia, the blind cricket team in cricket crazy India is not affiliated to the national cricket governing body, the BCCI. Instead, it is administrated by the Cricket Association for the Blind in India (CABI).

India’s blind cricket team captain Ajay Kumar Reddy told The Quint that the team is deprived of the funds and facilities that the Indian cricket team is provided with.
