PR Sondhi, who was one of the coaches of the Indian wrestling team during the 2010 Commonwealth Games, reacted to the coach that was portrayed as ‘evil’ in the film ‘Dangal’.
In the movie, the Indian wrestling team’s coach (PR Kadam) during the 2010 Commonwealth Games, sends someone to lock Geeta Phogat’s father Mahavir Singh Phogat in a room before the wrestler’s gold medal match, so that he cannot watch his daughter compete in the final.
However, PR Sondhi clarified that the incident never took place.
Sondhi added that, he is not going to take any action against the makers of the movie, but he said that Aamir Khan should have spoken to him about the coach’s role before the movie was made.
