Kapil Sharma’s misfortunes don’t look like they would end any time soon. Word is, the wildly popular TV comedian has been given a month’s time to pull back the TRPs of The Kapil Sharma Show or face the axe.
According to a report by Times of India, sources have informed that Sony TV is not impressed with Sharma’s very public brawl with Sunil Grover, which led to the latter abandoning the show along with Chandan Prabhakar, Ali Asgar and Sugandha Mishra. The show’s TRPs have hence dropped remarkably despite Sharma’s best efforts and the inclusion of Raju Shrivastav in the cast.
The channel, which was due to renewing its Rs 105-crore deal with Sharma this month, has reportedly asked Sharma to pull up his socks within a month or quit.
Ouch.
