The Punjab Congress crisis seems to be spiraling out of control as several reports suggest that Punjab Chief Minister Captain Amarinder Singh has offered to resign from the Congress party after reportedly being asked to step down from the post by the party high command.
He is scheduled to address a press conference at 4.30 PM outside the Raj Bhavan, on Saturday, ahead of key Congress party meeting in Chandigarh with senior officials like Ajay Maken and Harish Rawat who were rushed in amid reports of guard change.
Before the press conference, the CM's son Raninder Singh took to Twitter to write, "I am proud to accompany my father to Raj Bhawan when he submits his resignation as CM of Punjab and leads us as head of our family into a new beginning et all."
