Goodbye, ‘Missile Man’! Nation Pays Homage to APJ Abdul Kalam

Prime Minister Narendra Modi, President Pranab Mukherjee and Vice-President Hamid Ansari paid their tribute to former President APJ Abdul Kalam in Delhi.

Paying homage to Dr APJ Abdul Kalam, Congress Vice President Rahul Gandhi said Dr Kalam’s death is an irreparable loss to the country.

Paying tribute to Dr APJ Kalam, HRD Minister Smriti Irani said Rashtriya Avishkar Abhiyan will be renamed as Dr Kalam Rashtriya Avishkar Abhiyan as a tribute to him.

The body of former President APJ Abdul Kalam was flown to Guwahati in Assam on Tuesday morning and was brought to Delhi by a special aircraft. All three service chiefs received his body at the airport.
