1. Kimbho is Now Called Bolo Messenger
Remember the Kimbho app that was pegged as Baba Ramdev’s answer to WhatsApp in India? After going off the app store over security concerns, it is back in a new avatar – it’s now called Bolo Messenger. Aditi Kamal, the developer, has reached out to the media and shared details about the ‘safe-and-secure’ messaging app.

2. Microsoft’s iPad Challenger – Surface Go
Microsoft has unveiled the latest member of its Surface family – the Surface Go tablet PC. Priced at $399 (around Rs 27,000), the Surface Go sits at the lower end of the Surface line-up. The Go will compete with the 9.7-inch iPad in the tablet market. With its magnesium design surface and rounded corners, the Surface Go looks like a smaller version of the Surface Pro.

3. Apple’s Most Advanced MacBook Ever
Apple Inc. on Thursday, 12 July, announced new 13-inch and 15-inch MacBook Pro laptops – its most advanced Mac notebooks ever with faster performance and new pro features. Additional updates include support for up to 32 GB of RAM, up to 4 TB of storage, a True Tone display and an improved third-generation keyboard for quieter typing.

4. Oppo Find X: A Peek into the Bezel-less, Notch-less Future of Smartphones
The Oppo Find X is more of an introduction to the future rather than a hot selling product. It has been the most anticipated smartphone ever since its leaks and renders came out and it has finally been launched in India at Rs 59,990. This is the phone that gives us a peek of just what the future of smartphones looks like.

5. Reliance JioPhone Now Supports Google Maps
KaiOS-powered JioPhone, which has now become the No. 2 operating system after Android with 15 percent market share, recently rolled out an update with Google Maps support.
Back in June, Google had invested about $22 million in KaiOS in an attempt to feature some Google apps and services like Google Assistant and YouTube to be widely available on feature phones powered by the KaiOS. This is aimed to bridge the digital divide for Indians who can’t afford smartphones due to excessive pricing and digital illiteracy.

6. What Do You Think of Instagram’s ‘Questions’ Sticker?
The widely popular photo-sharing platform Instagram got a new feature this week and, as expected, people went bonkers about it. The Facebook-owned mobile app has added a new sticker option called ‘Questions’, which allows users to let other users ask them anything just like they do on Reddit.
You can select this feature from the sticker tray after taking a photo or shooting a video from the app. The sticker can be added to any picture or frame and you can add your question on it after that. The ‘Questions’ sticker is available as part of Instagram version 52 on iOS and Android.
