WhatsApp has rolled out its latest update for Android. The new update brings features like group calling and a fix for bugs in GIF support.

The update was spotted first by WABetaInfo, a Twitter account that keeps a track of all WhatsApp updates.

The icon to make a video call has been placed on the top right corner of the group chat screen, just like every other contact on WhatsApp.

Tapping that will list out all the people in the group except those not in your contacts. After selecting the contacts, you have to choose between making a video or a voice call.

This update was launched on iOS last month. WhatsApp had started the public rollout of the group voice and video calling feature back in August last year, but making a group call was not a smooth process.

This comes at a time when there are rumours about a security update doing the rounds. The security update is expected to bring fingerprint authentication in order to access WhatsApp.

As for the GIF bug-fix, it reportedly broke the GIF tab in the app, but the new update takes care of it.
