WhatsApp Business, the business version of the messaging app that allows businesses to communicate with their customers, has started rolling out on iOS devices in select countries, WABetaInfo reported after spotting the application on Mexico’s app store.
The iOS launch comes more than a year after WhatsApp Business was launched for Android in January 2018.
The portal reported that the app was first discovered on Mexico's app store, however, users online have reported that the app has been made available in countries like France, Brazil and Egypt as well.
WhatsApp Business features are tailored towards business use, like greeting messages, list information like opening and closing times, etc. The app is free for anyone to download and is compatible with iOS 8 and higher, WABetaInfo reported.
The app also allows you to choose to migrate your chat history, all WhatsApp Messenger chats will be transferred to WhatsApp Business, and you will be logged out from WhatsApp Messenger.
Apart from WhatsApp Business, there's also WhatsApp Business API, which is a way for larger businesses to connect with customers and send out notifications.
