The popular messaging platform, WhatsApp is reportedly developing a system to allow people to use one account on two different devices at the same time.
This feature will ensure that you don’t have to log in to the web version (on browser) all the time, which requires you to mirror one account (from the phone) to the bigger screen, linked via encrypted QR code.
This development has been highlighted by the reliable WhatsApp tipster, WABetaInfo this week, and according to them, it will work on two devices that are running on different operating system. This means one WhatsApp account can be used on iPhone and Android at the same time.
Having said that, WhatsApp is likely to offer both the options to the user. Either they can use the internet and connect to the web version. Or they can install the UWP app and get access to his/her account on the web, without being connected to the internet.
This way, you can save the battery life of your phone, and switch between devices, without losing out on the messages.
But the report suggests that saving of messages is likely to happen on the phone, especially when you’re syncing data with the Google Drive.
Even while detailing all these aspects expected to be added, the tipster mentions that all these features are rumoured for now, which is why he couldn’t post any screenshots for them.
In addition to this, the report also points out that WhatsApp could be making some changes to its end-to-end encryption, considering the platform will be accessible through multiple devices in the near future.
