Reliance Jio will make its highly anticipated 4G debut in the country during the upcoming cricket T20 World Cup. People heading over to watch the matches in the stadium will get a chance to try out Jio’s 4G WiFi service for free, and it’s unlimited.
The company’s WiFi network Jio 4G will be available in Eden Garden (Kolkata), Wankhede Stadium (Mumbai), IS Bindra Stadium (Mohali), HPCA stadium (Dharamshala), Chinnaswamy Stadium (Bengaluru) and Feroz Shah Kotla (Delhi).
Reliance Jio had tested out its 4G WiFi service at the India vs Australia match played at the Wankhede Stadium earlier this year.
According to the company, users will be getting internet speeds between 15 to 35 Mbps, which is more than enough to download a couple of movies or even binge-watch the latest series on Netflix. Here is what we found during the Reliance Jio 4G WiFi tests.
How to use Reliance Jio 4G WiFi:
- Select Jionet SSID on your mobile/laptop/tablet
- Enter your mobile number to get the verification code via SMS
- Enter the code and you’re logged in to use Reliance Jio 4G WiFi
(Note: The WiFi access is available for 24 hours with one code, reactivate the WiFi following the same steps. If you’re not using the WiFi for more than 30 minutes, it will become inactive.)
