Political ads is not something the company believes fits the TikTok experience, the company said.
TikTok will not feature any political ads on its platform, the company's VP for Global Business Blake Chandlee said in a blog post on Thursday, 3 October.
“We will not allow paid ads that promote or oppose a candidate, current leader, political party or group, or issue at the federal, state, or local level – including election-related ads, advocacy ads, or issue ads,” Chandlee said.
He said that the platform's primary focus is on entertaining and creating a genuine experience for its community.

Chandlee also said political ads is not something the company believes fits the TikTok experience.
