TikTok will not feature any political ads on its platform, the company's VP for Global Business Blake Chandlee said in a blog post on Thursday, 3 October.

“We will not allow paid ads that promote or oppose a candidate, current leader, political party or group, or issue at the federal, state, or local level – including election-related ads, advocacy ads, or issue ads,” Chandlee said.

He said that the platform's primary focus is on entertaining and creating a genuine experience for its community.
