The Quint has been ranked sixth among the top 10 tech start-ups in the world to watch out for in a report by the Reuters Institute, which is based out of Oxford University.

The Journalism, Media and Technology Predictions, 2016 report has just one media company in the list of companies that will make waves in the coming year, and just two companies from India.

At just 9 months old, The Quint is also one of the youngest companies on the list. Here is what the report had to say about us:

The Quint is an Indian mobile first news site in English and Hindi founded by entrepreneur Raghav Bahl the man behind media group Network 18. It’s looking to bring a fresh modern tone to coverage of serious and lighter issues. The site is built on a new digital publishing platform called The Quintype, which not only publishes stories but uses predictive analytics for scheduling articles, builds in social media management and contains an integrated ad engine.

We are proud to receive recognition from a globally recognised organisation like the Reuters Institute, and will do our best to live up to it.
