Samsung prides itself on it’s Note series, launched more than six years ago. Even Apple had to finally cave into the pressure (from all corners) to make a phablet sized iPhone, the Plus version.

Logically, we expected the Galaxy Note 6 in the market this year, but Samsung has defied convention to give us the Galaxy Note 7. This is the first Android phone to pack an Iris scanner, which we’re sure we’ll be hearing more about in the years to come.

A trusty pen and pad is still the companion of choice for many folks, even though we’re surrounded by smartphones and tablets everywhere we go. That being said, notebooks aren’t text-searchable (and we’re quite often searching for them too!).

Sharing paper notes isn’t easy, and let’s be honest, most of us can’t read our own handwriting six months down the line. Wacom, known for its graphics tablets and styluses, is looking to solve this problem with the Bamboo Spark.

3. Apple Needs Cheaper iPhones in India, But It’ll Never Happen

Apple’s faltering status in India is a cause for concern. The company really needs a low-cost option that could be a winner in India.

But Apple has been adamant that we’ll never see a cheaper iPhone, at least in our lifetime, but their current position in countries like India — third largest mobile market in the world — puts them in a spot of bother.

With Xiaomi, it has always been about products which offer value beyond the reach of most brands. What started with the Mi 3 was later subsidised to an affordable price with the Redmi series. In 2016 we’ve got the Redmi 3 which also has a Prime variant.

Priced at Rs 8,999, Redmi 3 Prime is another contender in the market right now that needs to get it right to be considered a worthy buy.

5. Review: LG PH1 Lights up Your Room And Plays Quality Music

Being able to buy a quality Bluetooth speaker without having to spend a fortune is rare. Although less expensive speakers have entered the market, they are nowhere close to matching the quality of their expensive peers.

LG would probably be the last brand you would consider while buying speakers at the sub-5K price point but with the PH1, we’re willing to rethink.
