Dating on Facebook: Here’s How It Will Work

On 1 May 2018, Mark Zuckerberg made an announcement at Facebook’s F8 event that was music to the ears of many single people.

Zuckerberg talked about the 200 million Facebook users registered as single, after which he said, “There is something to do here.”

That “something” turned out to be something quite big, as the Facebook CEO announced that the social network giant is diving into the online dating space with its own dating feature.

If you thought Apple launching iPhone X with the notch last year will kickstart a mini revolution in years to come, you were spot on.

We’ve already seen brands like Vivo, Asus, Huawei and LG among others come out with notch-laden phones, and the list is only going to get longer with OnePlus, Samsung and Google waiting to join the ranks. Counterpoint reported that around 300 million smartphones with notches will be sold across the world in 2018.

In what seems like a strong message to drivers who are enslaved by their mobile devices, Volkswagen Stockholm and NordDDB, a brand management company, have collaborated to make special iPhone 8 cases from metal that was salvaged from the car wrecks of accidents caused by texting and driving.

‘Crashed Cases’ is an attempt to remind drivers about the seriousness of the issue, as it’s not only their lives that are on the line, it’s also the lives of pedestrians and other drivers.
