Another flagship device enters the Indian market with the introduction of the Sony Xperia XZ Premium. The phone has been launched in India for a price tag of Rs 59,990.
The smartphone is the world’s first device which comes with a 4K HDR display and has the capability to record video in super slo-mo at 960 frames per second. The phone will be available for purchase from 12 June at select retail outlets, Sony Centres and Amazon.com.
With the launch of the XZ Premium, Sony has beaten OnePlus into launching the first phone with a Snapdragon 835 processor in India.

The phone packs in a lot of powerful features like a hardware combination of the latest snapdragon 835 processor and 4 GB RAM. It also comes with 64 GB of storage which can be expanded up to 256 GB via microSD card. The phone is running on the latest Android 7.0 Nougat. It comes with a 5.5-inch display which is the world’s first 4K HDR display. Also the phone comes a reflective surface design which is beautiful to look at.
The phone’s 19-megapixel rear camera comes with a 25 mm f/2.0 lens while the 13-megapixel front camera comes with a wide-angle f/2.0 lens and 5-axis stabilisation. The XZ Premium is dust- and water-resistant with an IP65/68 rating, and it also sports Corning Gorilla Glass 5 on both the front and the back.
It also packs a 3,230 mAh non-removable battery and charges via a type-C port. It also has a 3.5mm headphone jack. Thank god! The XZ Premium also comes with Gigabit-class LTE speeds for enhanced connectivity.
