Nokia’s Newly Launched 5.1, 3.1 and 2.1 Phones Now in Stores

Nokia’s latest models Nokia 2.1, Nokia 3.1 and the Nokia 5.1 – launched on Thursday –are available for sale in India. The Nokia 2.1 is the company's budget smartphone running on Android Oreo and is priced at Rs 6,999 while the other two add to Nokia's lineup of Android One devices. The Nokia 3.1 is priced at Rs 11,999 and the 5.1 comes at Rs 14,499.

The Nokia 2.1 runs on the lighter Android Go version of Android Oreo. It houses a 5.5-inch HD (720 x 1280 pixels) display with a 16:9 aspect ratio. The Nokia 2.1 runs on a Snapdragon 425 processor which is paired with 1GB RAM. The phone has a total of 8GB storage, which is expandable to up to 128GB with an SD card. It also houses a huge 4,000 mAh battery that Nokia claims can go on for up to 2 days. The Nokia 2.1 also houses an 8-megapixel rear camera and a 5-megapixel front shooter.

Nokia 3.1

The 3.1 is an Android One-powered smartphone that runs on Android Oreo out-of-the-box. It has a 5.2-inch HD+ display with a 18:9 aspect ratio. It is powered by the MediaTek MT6750 and 3GB of RAM. The phone can store up to 32GB of data which can be expanded to 128GB.

The Nokia 3.1 houses a 13-megapixel rear camera and an 8-megapixel front camera.

The 2990 mAh battery is quite small which means battery backup might be an issue with this handset.

Nokia 5.1

The Nokia 5.1 is again, an Android One powered phone, running on Android 8 (Oreo). This one also houses a 5.5-inch screen, protected with Corning's Gorilla Glass 3. The display is a 1080x2160 pixels full HD+ IPS panel with a 18:9 aspect ratio.

This is the top-of-the-line device among these three, hence the most powerful. It houses an Octa-Core MediTek MT6755S chipset, coupled with a 3GB RAM. 

The phone houses a 16-megapixel rear camera and an 8-megapixel front sensor. It has a 3,000 mAh battery and has 32GB of storage which is again, expandable up to 128 GB.
