Micromax launched its new budget smartphone, Canvas Xpress 2, priced at Rs 5,999. The phone will be available exclusively on Flipkart from August 4.
Registrations for the smartphone start on July 27 at 6PM on the Flipkart website.
The Xpress 2 comes with a 5-inch HD (720x1280p) IPS display and is powered by a 1.4GHz MediaTek MT6592 octa-core processor with 1GB RAM. There is 8GB internal storage that is expandable via a micro SD-card slot.
For camera lovers, the smartphone sports a 13 megapixel rear camera with a dual LED flash, and for selfies there is a 2 megapixel front-facing camera.
The Micromax Canvas Xpress 2 is a dual-sim phone that supports 3G, Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, FM radio, and GPS.
The Canvas Xpress 2 will compete with the CoolPad Dazen 1, Motorola Moto E 2nd Gen, and Xiaomi Redmi 2.
