Hewlett-Packard has launched the world’s thinnest HP Spectre laptop. Weighing 1.1 kg, it is said to be as thin as an AAA-battery at just 10.4-mm. Packed with Intel’s Core i5 and i7 processor, the Spectre 2016 is bound to get the Dell XPS 13 and Lenovo 900 a bit nervous.
The laptop priced at $1,249 (Rs 82,400 approx) and will be making its way to the Indian market in the coming months. The new Spectre laptop gets a full HD 13.3-inch diagonal edge-to-edge display with SSD storage up to 512GB and 8GB of RAM.
However, the big takeaway from the Spectre 2016 edition is its hybrid battery which is split into two thin pieces that offer the same charge as a single battery for up to nine and half hours of as per the company’s claims.
The notebook has a carbon fibre bottom that is both durable and lightweight.
The full HD IPS edge-to-edge display gets Corning Glass protection and HP has embedded Intel’s hyperbaric cooling system to keep the system running at normal temperatures even at full-throttle usage.
It has three full function USB Type-C connectors, including two of which support Thunderbolt connectivity.
