The HTC U11 now comes to the Indian market with an aggressive price tag and flagship level features. The phone is being touted as the ’squeezable phone’ and we squeezed all out of it to see what makes the HTC U11 U-nique?

Design & Display

HTC U11 looks pure like a drop of water. I mean, seriously. The back features a reflective surface what HTC calls liquid glass surface design.

Although, it makes the back prone to a lot of smudges and fingerprints. It’s lightweight and comfortably fits in the hand. The display is a vibrant 5.5-inch Quad HD screen thats cover by 3D glass. It is also IP67 dust and water-resistant. Looks beautiful, but what’s missing is the 3.5mm headphone jack.

Performance & Storage

The smartphone comes bundled with the latest Snapdragon 835 processor coupled with 6GB of RAM. This is a champion combination. Performance is smooth enough, but if it is too durable or not is something we’ll let you know in our full review later.

There are storage options of up to 128GB. It comes with dual-SIM slots and runs on the latest Android 7.1.1 Nougat. It also comes with Amazon’s voice assistant, Alexa, which isn’t currently available in India.

The HTC Sense feature of the phone is the biggest highlight where you can squeeze the phone on the edges to perform different functions. You can short squeeze, squeeze and hold, or feed gestures according to the action you want to perform.

Camera & Battery

The U11 comes with a 12-megapixel Ultra Pixel 3 camera on the back, which shoots stunning pictures. Video recording via the phone is also impressive.

The front sports a 16-megapixel camera with f/2..0 aperture which is also impressive. Battery comes in at 3000mAh which also supports fast charge.

What We Think?

The phone looks good, I mean anyone would want a phone this good looking and sleek in their pockets. It’s a powerful phone hence carries a very powerful price tag with it.

Though, are they really justifying the price tag of Rs 51,990? Can’t say anything before we really scrutinize the phone. This one could make or break it for HTC so we’ll reserve our final judgement till the full review.
