The drama is on at the offices of Housing.com, again!
After founder and former CEO Rahul Yadav’s much publicised exit a few months ago, Inc42 reported that Pratik Seal, Chief Marketing Officer; Azeem Zainulbhai, Chief of Staff at Housing and Suvonil Chatterjee the Chief Design Officer at Housing have also bowed out of the company to join Yadav’s new start-up as co-founders. Reports also suggest that around 6 to 7 other senior staff members have exited Housing.
Sources said that Yadav has managed to grab a huge chunk of funding from some of India’s start-up pioneers, including Paytm’s Vijay Shekhar Sharma; Flipkart’s Sachin & Binny Bansal and others.
When contacted Seal failed to generate a response, Chatterjee posted on Facebook confirming that he had left Housing.com, but declined to provide any more details.
The new management at Housing has already cut down employees to 2,200 from the 2,850 team at the time when Rahul was CEO. It is being reported that the product design team, offline marketing team and the design team assisting the marketing team has been cut down.
After the exit of senior members, remaining core team members and people at the AVP, VP roles are also planning their exits, and so are a number of other employees, the sources said.
Housing under Rahul’s leadership was a company driven by dreams and now it’s like meet the daily targets.
