Google India launched budget enterprise Chromebook notebooks in India for Rs 12,999. Indian OEMs (Original Equipment Manufacturers) Xolo and Nexian partnered on the new notebooks, which are available on Snapdeal and Amazon India.
The Nexian Air Chromebook comes with a 11.6-inch TFT display (1366x768p) and is powered by a 1.8GHz Cortex A17 Rockchip quad core processor and 2GB RAM. The notebook comes with 16GB internal storage and there is an SD card slot for expansion.
The Nexian Air Chromebook includes 2 USB 2.0 ports, an HDMI port, a 1MP web camera and comes with Bluetooth 4.0.
There is a 4200mAh battery that company claims can offers a backup of up to 8 hours.
The Chromebook by Xolo also has similar specs like the Nexian Air Chromebook but Xolo claims that their Chromebook’s 4200mAh battery will last for 10 hours.
Both notebooks run the latest version of Google’s Chrome OS.
Google also announced their Chromebooks for Businesses and Chromebox for Meetings. The Chromebox for Meetings integrates Hangouts, Google Apps and Chromebox.
This will act as a video conference solution for companies. The Chromebox for meetings is priced by Google at Rs 90,000.
