There is good news for Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) customers. The telecom operator has launched a new cashback scheme for its customers, offering six paise for five minutes of a voice calls made within the country. This offer is applicable on BSNL wireline, broadband and ATTS customers across country.
It is believed that this new plan can help BSNL in adding more users to its network, something which has been hard to come by since the launch of Reliance Jio in the market.
But it’s possible that BSNL is hopeful of appealing to users in the broadband and wired line segment also, where it is still the leading player.
BSNL Cashback Festive Offer
According to BSNL, this offer will be only applicable, if the call is made to the person having the same telecom connection. This plan from BSNL seems like a counter offer to Reliance Jio's 6 paise per minute charge for making calls to non-Jio numbers.
The company's CFA director Vivek Banzal said that “In an era of digital experiences, where customers are seeking quality services for voice and data. We want our customers to engage more with our upgraded Next Generation Network, experience the quality of voice call which happens on wireline, and also get incentivized for same”.
Recently, BSNL had relaunched the old plans and came up with new plans as well.
