Design & Display: As Simple as It Gets

It doesn’t get any simpler than this. The Zenfone Live sports a basic design, with a good combination of plastic and glass.

It is comfortable to hold, thanks to its compact size. The plastic back has a glossy metal finish but is prone to a lot of scratches. It has a dual microphone setup in the front for better audio during live sessions. The 5.5 inch HD display sports 2.5D curved glass. It has good viewing angles though the visibility under sunlight could be better.

Performance & Storage: Definitely Not a Workhorse

Performance-wise, you can’t expect much from the Zenfone Live. It comes with a low-tier Snapdragon 420 processor and 2GB of RAM. It’s not made for heavy multitasking or gaming. It will just get you through the basics like WhatsApp or web surfing.

The phone runs on Android 6.0 Marshmallow on top of ASUS’ very own ZenUI 3.5. Clean and smooth interface. No problems here. The Zenfone Live comes with ample trunk space – with multiple storage variants like 16GB & 32GB. Storage can also be expanded up to 256GB via microSD card.

The ASUS Zenfone Live claims to have the world’s first live streaming beautification technology for its front camera. It also comes with real-time glamour mode and BeautyLive feature to enhance the beautification of live selfie videos.

The phone has a decent battery backup, with a 2560mAh non-removable battery pack. The company claims it can provide up to 24 hours of talk time on 3G.
