The Asus ZenFone 5z's 8GB/256GB variant will go on sale from Monday onwards. The Zenfone 5z was launched earlier this month as an attempt by Asus to give the OnePlus 6 some fight. The phone will be sold online via Flipkart. The Zenfone 5z was launched only with 6GB RAM with two options of 64 GB and 128 GB storage.
The ZenFone 5Z comes with a top-end Snapdragon 845 SoC, a 19:9 display with a notch, and dual rear cameras.
The smartphone was first unveiled at MWC 2018. The new 8GB RAM/ 256GB variant is priced at Rs. 36,999.
The ZenFone 5z runs on Android 8.0.0 Oreo out-of-the-box, with an Android P update in the works. The smartphone sports a 6.2-inch full-HD+ (1080x2246 pixels) Super IPS+ display with an 18.7:9 aspect ratio. It is powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 845 SoC, which is paired to an Adreno 630 GPU and up to 8GB RAM.
There are vertically placed dual cameras on the back of the ZenFone 5Z.
The rear camera setup consists of a 12-megapixel Sony IMX363 primary sensor, with an f/1.8 aperture and support for OIS, and a secondary 8-megapixel OmniVision 8856 sensor with fixed focus, f/2.2 aperture.
