Asus has added another smartphone to their ZenFone series in India with the ZenFone Max.

The ZenFone Max comes with a 5000 mAH battery that is by far the biggest battery on a smartphone in India.

The pre-bookings for ZenFone Max will open at 12 pm on January 4, 2016 on Amazon and Flipkart. The phone will also be sold at ASUS Exclusive Stores and with other retailers from the second fortnight of January.

The lithium-polymer battery, when fully charged, offers users 37.6 hours of 3G talk time or 32.5 hours of Wi-Fi web browsing or 72.9 hours of music playback or 22.6 hours of video playback, the company claims.

It’s even possible to turn it into an innovative power bank to charge other devices, enabling uninterrupted work and play.

The 5.2 mm thin body of the ZenFone Max also packs in a 13MP rear and 5MP front PixelMaster camera and f/2.0-aperture lens.

Timed perfectly with the new year, ZenFone Max takes our vision of providing luxury at an affordable price further. It combines a powerful battery with an innovative camera, making it the perfect utility product for users who demand performance at all times. We are sure the phone will be appreciated by our patrons and take us a step closer to repeating the success we saw last year.

Peter Chang, Region Head – South Asia & Country Manager for ASUS India.

It uses the latest 4G LTE technology for high mobile data speeds and A new UI design for performance.

The phone comes with a Qualcomm 8916 (Snapdragon 410) quad-core processor with a 2GB RAM and a 16GB internal memory with an optional expandable memory of 64GB.
