Xiaomi has revealed the Mi Watch that has striking design resemblance to the Apple Watch, but as expected it costs much less than Apple’s wearable device. The Mi Watch is however running on MiUi version which has been skinned from Android WearOS platform, the first from the company in the segment.

The Mi Watch gets powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 3100 processor, tailor made for such devices. As per reports, the device will retail in China at around $185 (Rs 12,950) and we still don’t know if it’ll come to India anytime soon.

But there’s a reason why Xiaomi is marketing this device as a ‘small phone on your wrist’. Here’s a look at all the features on Xiaomi’s first smartwatch.

The Mi Watch sports a 1.78-inch AMOLED screen, with a single button and a crown dial which can be used to operate the interface. It also gets a microphone and speaker on the left side at the back, and Xiaomi has managed to pack the device with Bluetooth, GPS, NFC as well as eSIM support for making voice calls. You get a standard heart-rate monitor on the Mi Watch.

Xiaomi is offering up to 40 apps for its customised wearable platform version of MiUi available through a separate app store on the device. All these apps will run with 1GB RAM and 8GB storage to keep the apps and it comes loaded with a 570mAh battery that is probably the biggest we’ve seen on a wearable device till date.

The device will sync with the Mi Fit app from the company, which is already used to pair with its Mi Band fitness tracker device, available for under Rs 2,000 in the country.
