Samsung Galaxy S9 and Galaxy S9+ are now available in the market, and you can get one of them from either online or offline shops with prices starting at Rs 57,900. We have been using the Galaxy S9+, the first Galaxy S phone to pack dual rear cameras, for a week now.

So we decided to share our experience of the latest Samsung Galaxy flagship and how it fares. Check out this video and see if you’re in the mood to buy the Galaxy S9 or the Galaxy S9+ for yourself.

As you might know already, the Galaxy S9+ gets a 6.2-inch Super AMOLED 18:9 screen. This phone is running on Android 8.0 Oreo based TouchWiz version, which is pretty decent but still not the best.

The Indian variant of the Galaxy S9 series packs the Exynos processor, with 6GB RAM on the Galaxy S9+ and storage expandable up to 400GB. You get 12-megapixel dual rear sensors with f/1.5 aperture, which, according to Samsung, is pretty good for low-light shooting.

As you get through the video, the Galaxy S9+ sees minor refinements to the Galaxy S8+. The 6.2-inch form factor is easier to use with one hand, and the fingerprint scanner is vertically placed now. The Galaxy S9+ also gets a 3500mAh battery unit, which is even bigger than the one on the Galaxy Note 8 launched last year.

The fact that Samsung manufactures its phones in India allows them to price their flagship devices at much lower cost than the competition. All in all, if you’ve got the Galaxy S7 and are looking for a flagship upgrade, then the Galaxy S9+ wouldn’t be a bad place to start. But if you’ve got the Galaxy S8, there’s not really enough in the S9 to be worth the upgrade.
