It’s that time of the year when it’s raining megapixels in India, particularly in the mid-range smartphone market.
Only last week Chinese smartphone giant Xiaomi launched the Xiaomi Redmi Note Pro with a 48+5-megapixel rear camera and now another Chinese player, Oppo has launched the F11 Pro, which also comes with a similar camera setup.
The Oppo F11 Pro has been launched in India at Rs 24,990 and will be available from 15 March in the 6GB + 64GB variant.

The Oppo F11 Pro comes with a unibody design, which is good to look at and ergonomically feels comfortable to hold in the hands. The “Thunder Black” colour variant sports triple-tone colours at the back (black, purple and blue) which is stunning to look at.
Oppo has decided to part ways with the notch on the front and so the Oppo F11 Pro gets a full view display without any bezels.
The Oppo F11 Pro is running on a MediaTek 970 processor coupled with 6GB of RAM and on-board storage worth 64GB that is expandable up to 256GB via a microSD card. The phone gives you the option to use two SIMs at a time.
The Oppo F11 Pro is offering support for Android Pie on top of its own ColorOS, which the company has said has gone through drastic improvements.
It also said that the phone now comes with a ‘Hyper Boost’ feature that boosts the performance of the phone by almost 20-30 percent and also helps with system cooling.
The biggest highlight of the Oppo F11 Pro is the 48+5-megapixel dual rear camera setup, which comes with a ‘Night Mode’ that helps with night-time photography. On the front is a pop-up 16-megapixel selfie camera that is also used for activating the face unlock feature.
In terms of battery backup, the Oppo F11 Pro comes with a 4,000mAh battery that supports the company’s VOOC charge tech that can help charge the device up to 50 percent in 30 minutes.
The Oppo F11 Pro goes up against pretty tough competition such as the Poco F1 from Xiaomi, the Vivo V15 Pro and the Honor View 20. Watch this space for a comparison soon.
