Bharti Airtel and Reliance Jio on Tuesday announced the sale of Apple Watch Series 3 (GPS + Cellular) in India which will be available starting from 11 May.
According to industry sources, Reliance Jio is also planning to bring Apple Watch Series 3 to its stores with pre-orders starting 4 May. iPhone users can use it for messaging and even voice calls. All without keeping the phone with you all the time.
Although launched globally alongside the other Watch Series 3 variants, Apple has taken its own sweet time to bring the LTE model to the Indian market.
Both Jio and Airtel will be offering select 4G plans for the Watch Series 3 in the coming weeks, and it’ll be interesting how both the telcos price them.
To help Apple Watch Series 3 (GPS + Cellular) customers get started, Jio will also offer a special introductory cellular trial.Industry source on Reliance Jio

The iPhone-maker launched its third-generation "Apple Watch" in September 2017 in India, priced at Rs 29,900 in gold, silver and space grey aluminium variants.
The smart watch comes with intelligent fitness-coaching features, water resistance and a full LTE cellular radio that switches seamlessly to cellular when away from the iPhone.
The watch also has an electronic sim (eSIM) built into the watch, which pairs with your iPhone so that it shares the same number. But it does not need to be near the iPhone and acts as an independent cellular device, meaning you need not carry your phone with you at all times.
Apple Watch Series 3 comes in two models, one with GPS and cellular, and one with GPS only, both featuring a 70 percent faster dual-core processor and new wireless chip.
