Apple iPhone 11 & 11 Pro Launched in India, Starting at Rs 64,900
Apple has three iPhones as part of the 11 series. Prices start from Rs 64,900 and they will be available at stores before end of September.
Most of the design aspects and features have been revealed with multiple leaks before the keynote, which is why there was hardly anything new that we came across during the announcement.
Apple claims that the new iPhones have been re-energised with new features, upgraded hardware and running on the latest iOS 13 version, which supports dark mode. Here’s everything you need to know about the iPhone 11 series, which includes two ‘Pro’ devices this year.
iPhone 11 gets a 6.1-inch Liquid Retina display, which is probably Apple’s version of 720 pixels resolution. The phone sports dual cameras at the back, both supporting wide and ultra-wide angle 12-megapixel sensors. Even on the front, you’re getting a 12-megapixel shooter.
Apple has improved on the feature set for imaging enthusiasts and it will be interesting to see how much of an upgrade the iPhone 11’s camera will be to its predecessor, which is the iPhone XR.
The phone carries a weight of 194 grams, offers dust and water resistance with an IP68 rating, and unlike most rumours, iPhone still supports its patented lightning connector for charging as well as data transfer.
However, the iPhone 11, priced at Rs 64,900 in India, is priced Rs 10,000 lower than the iPhone XR from last year and the new one will be available from 27 September onwards.
iPhone 11 Pro and Pro Max
The iPhone 11 Pro and Pro Max series gets 5.8-inch and 6.5-inch OLED displays respectively. This is most likely the same screen that we’ve seen with the Galaxy Note 10 series from Samsung earlier this year. These phones will also be powered by the A13 bionic processor and available in 64GB, 256GB and 512GB options.
In terms of battery life, Apple says, the iPhone 11 Pro will last four hours longer than the iPhone XS, and slightly longer for the iPhone 11 Pro Max as well.
These two 11 Pro devices have been priced starting from Rs 99,900 and Rs 1,09,900 respectively. These will also be available from 27 September onwards in India.
