The next generation of viewers is here, and they are consuming content on all types of devices. Yes, we mean the millennials. Whether it’s directly on their mobile phones or streaming to their connected TVs, millennials prefer watching online because it gives them the flexibility to control their schedule. But this doesn’t mean that millennials aren’t watching traditional television anymore. TV, in fact, remains staple.

And keeping the millennials’ video consumption patterns in mind, along with the idea to give them the freedom to pick their screen of choice, Airtel has launched its converged digital entertainment play through a slew of streaming devices for consumers. These devices let them watch live TV channels, as well as content from apps like Netflix and Amazon Prime Video.

Make way for Airtel’s Xstream product segment, under which, the telco has launched an Android-based TV box and TV stick. Both these devices will run with a compatible Xstream app, which is the rebadged Airtel TV app.

Airtel Xstream is part of Airtel’s vision of building a world-class digital entertainment ecosystem for Digital India and make it more accessible to consumers through innovative devices and exciting applications.
The next best thing for the new generation of viewers.

Adarsh Nair, Chief Product Officer, Bharti Airtel said, “Airtel is on an exciting mission to provide a broad array of digital services and platforms that can form the foundation for a rising India. As part of our digital entertainment play, our vision is to truly massify digital entertainment and make it accessible to more and more customers.”

The idea is to present all the content on one platform but deliver it across screens. The platform brings together your favourite content including Live TV, video, music, news and sports across an OTT smart stick, Internet-enabled set-top-box and handheld devices.

Airtel Xstream will cater to the millennials’ need for seamless and converged entertainment across multiple screens at home and on the go. Which essentially means that not only do you choose what you want to watch, but also where you watch it - TV, PC, or on your smartphone.

The next best thing for the new generation of viewers.

The Airtel Xstream Stick makes any TV a smart TV

Designed for plug-and-play, the Airtel Xstream Stick comes with a single subscription plan that gives you access to all your digital entertainment at one place with over 10,000 movies and shows as well as over six million songs from Wynk Music’s library. And it comes with a built-in Chromecast enabling a range of solutions for connected homes.

You will have access to content from platforms like ZEE5, Hooq, Hoi Choi, Eros Now as well as Netflix, Amazon Prime Video and other Google Playstore applications so that you can download the app of your choice.

The Airtel Xstream Stick is priced at Rs 3999. If you’re an Airtel Thanks Platinum and Gold customer, you get complimentary access to the content subscription plan on Airtel Xstream Stick.

If not, you still get free access to the content for the first 30 days. Post that, you will need to subscribe to a Rs 999 annual plan to continue enjoying the exciting content catalogue.

And then there’s the hybrid box

The Airtel Xstream 4K Hybrid Box seamlessly brings satellite TV and OTT content together onto the TV screen with the convenience of a single device, making any regular TV a smart TV. Along with the option to choose from 500 plus TV channels, it comes pre-installed with Airtel Xstream app, Netflix, Amazon Prime Video, YouTube and Airtel Store for advanced gaming with high end graphics.

It even has Wi-Fi and Bluetooth connectivity and built-in Chromecast. It comes with a universal remote that features Google Assistant based voice search and hot keys for Netflix, Amazon Prime Video and YouTube.

Priced at Rs 3999, the Airtel Xstream Box comes with a complimentary one-year subscription (worth Rs 999) to all Airtel Xstream app content in addition to one-month subscription to a HD DTH pack. And if you’re an existing Airtel Digital TV customer, you can upgrade at a special price of Rs 2249 only! Isn’t it a deal of a lifetime?

Airtel has clearly redefined the entertainment game and how. You can now stream content that you wish to consume, anytime and anywhere. With Airtel Xstream, the future of entertainment is here and it only gets more exciting from here on!
