First Look: Volkswagen Polo GTI Is the 192 BHP Monster We Want

At the Auto Expo 2016, Volkswagen was ready to take back the title of the most powerful hatchback in India. Dethroned by the Fiat Punto Abarth, that has a power output of 145 bhp, the German carmaker unveiled the Volkswagen Polo GTI at the Delhi Auto Expo this year, with a vengeance.

The company says that the car will enter the Indian market this Diwali. The Polo GTI will be a three door hot hatchback that will have a 1.8 litre TSI petrol engine and a 2.0 litre TDI diesel engine variant. The company claims that the petrol variant will have a power output of 192 bhp, while the diesel will give a staggering 230 bhp of power.

Watch: The Honda Accord’s First Look From Delhi Auto Expo 2016

Honda may have unveiled their new BR-V multi-utility vehicle (MUV) at the Auto Expo 2016, but that’s not their only offering for the audience. The 2016 version of Honda Accord is also on display and unlike its previous model, looks meaner, broader and up for a tough sedan fight this year.

It is expected to make a comeback in India this Diwali.

Watch: First Look of the Hyundai Tucson From Delhi Auto Expo 2016

Hyundai was relatively quiet at this year’s Auto Expo. However, the Japanese car maker has managed to unveil the upgraded version with some changes in design of its mid-range SUV, Tucson.

The 3rd generation Tucson is an addition to Hyundai’s SUV family of Creta and Santa Fe. It is expected to hit the showrooms later this year, and will cost more than Creta and less than Santa Fe.

Most Expensive Car at Auto Expo 2016: Mercedes-Maybach S600 Guard

The Mercedes-Maybach is one hell of a car by itself, but the package gets even more interesting when the German car-maker decides to make it bomb-proof, fire-proof and bullet-proof. The Mercedes-Maybach S600 Guard is also the most expensive car unveiled at the Auto expo 2016 in Delhi.

The car is expected to cost upwards of Rs 12 crore giving stiff competition to the Audi A8L Security.

The 2016 Auto Expo was full of exciting cars and bikes, but a side of the ‘auto enthusiasts’ came to light which, to be honest, was shameful.

During our coverage of the Expo, there were many incidents proving that there were some people who may not have been attending the Expo to see cars at all, but to have a look at the female models instead. There were some who were hardly concerned with clicking the vehicles on display but wanted a selfie with models, or were simply (and weirdly) clicking just the model.
